James, Jim (My Morning Jacket, Monsters of Folk)

Jim James, aka Yim Yames, aka James Edward Olliges Jr. (born April 27, 1978), is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter of Louisville, Kentucky-based rock band My Morning Jacket. He also plays with the "supergroup" Monsters of Folk. I've been fortunate to catch Jim at a number of venues, including the Austin City Limits Festival and at Moody Theater playing with Preservation Hall Jazz Band and the Del McCoury Band.
