Fresh off the release of their 3rd album, Phosphene Dream, the Black Angels played the Friday afternoon KUT set at the SXSW 2011 convention center headquarters in Austin, Texas, March 1i8, 2011. Formed in May 2004, the band's name derives from the Velvet Underground song "The Black Angel's Death Song".
